Volunteer

Volunteering at Chances food distributions builds community connections and addresses food insecurity. By sorting, packaging, and distributing meals, volunteers create a supportive environment that strengthens neighborly bonds. This experience serves those facing hunger and fosters compassion and community support.

Volunteer Form

Every third Saturday of the month, Chances Community Center distributes food to the surrounding community in Newark. Volunteers are needed to set up canopies, tables, and pallets for food distribution; organize food display and restock food items; greet community members; serve food; and clean-up.

It is important that you sign in and out, and wear a name tag at all times while working.  Once you have signed in, please find the Volunteer Coordinator (wearing the orange vest) to be assigned responsibilities.
